ACC is ICF's foundational coaching credential
A strong foundation for professional coaching
ACC is the first of ICF's three individual coaching credentials and is designed for coaches developing a strong professional foundation.
It demonstrates an understanding of the ICF Core Competencies, ICF Code of Ethics and the practical skills expected of a professional coach.

YOUR ACC PATHWAY
Education
Complete at least 60 hours of coaching education.
Your route may be through an ICF accredited Level 1 or Level 2 programme, or another eligible education route.
Experience
Complete at least 100 hours of coaching experience, including a minimum of 75 paid hours.
Your learning actually becomes practical coaching experience with real clients.
Mentor Coaching
Complete 10 hours of mentoring over at least three months.
Mentor coaching focuses specifically on developing your coaching skills against the ICF Core Competencies.
Assessment/Exam
Complete the required performance evaluation and achieve a passing score on the ICF ACC Exam.
This demonstrates you have the knowledge and coaching skills expected at ACC level.

The ICF currently provides different ACC application routes depending on the coaching education you have completed.
Level 1 / Level 2
For coaches who have completed qualifying ICF accredited coaching education.

For coaches whose education includes non ICF accredited education.
